Author Fees

1. Overview

Jurnal Pengabdian dan Inovasi is committed to providing open access to all published content, ensuring that research and community service innovations are freely available to the public. To sustain this open-access model and cover the operational costs of publication, the journal applies Article Processing Charges (APC) for manuscripts that are accepted for publication.

3. What the APC Covers

The Article Processing Charge (APC) contributes to the following publication services:

  • Editorial Processing: Management of the submission and peer-review process.

  • Copyediting and Proofreading: Professional language and technical editing.

  • Layout and Formatting: Typesetting and design of the final published article.

  • Online Hosting and DOI Registration: Permanent open-access hosting and assignment of Digital Object Identifiers (DOIs).

  • Indexing and Archiving: Submission to relevant academic databases and long-term digital preservation.

  • Journal Management: General administrative and operational costs.

4. Payment Policy

4.1 When to Pay

  • The APC is payable only after the manuscript has been officially accepted for publication.

  • Authors will receive an official acceptance letter along with payment instructions.

  • Payment must be completed before the manuscript proceeds to the production stage.

4.2 Payment Methods

Payments can be made via:

  • Bank Transfer to the journal's designated bank account (details will be provided upon acceptance).

  • Online Payment Platforms (where available).

4.3 Currency

  • Indonesian authors: Payment is processed in Indonesian Rupiah (IDR).

  • International authors: Payment may be processed in US Dollars (USD) or converted at the applicable exchange rate.

5. Fee Waiver and Discount Policy

Jurnal Pengabdian dan Inovasi is committed to promoting equitable access to publication opportunities, particularly for authors from underserved communities or developing regions.

5.1 Fee Waiver

  • The journal offers limited fee waivers for authors who face financial constraints and are unable to pay the APC.

  • Waiver requests must be submitted before the submission process and will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis.

  • Priority is given to:

    • Authors from low-income countries.

    • Early-career researchers with no institutional funding.

    • Community service projects with no external funding support.

5.2 Discounts

  • Discounts may be offered for:

    • Authors affiliated with partner institutions.

    • Manuscripts with international co-authors.

    • Multiple submissions from the same research group (subject to editorial approval).

5.3 How to Request a Waiver or Discount

Authors seeking a fee waiver or discount should:

  1. Complete the Fee Waiver Request Form (available on the journal website).

  2. Submit the form along with supporting documentation (e.g., proof of financial status, institutional affiliation) to the editorial office at the time of submission.

6. Withdrawal and Refund Policy

6.1 Withdrawal Before Acceptance

  • Authors may withdraw their manuscript at any time before the final editorial decision without incurring any charges.

6.2 Withdrawal After Acceptance

  • If an author withdraws a manuscript after it has been accepted for publication, a penalty fee of Rp 100,000 (IDR) may be charged to cover the editorial and review resources already invested.

  • This policy is intended to respect the time and effort contributed by editors, reviewers, and editorial staff throughout the review process.

6.3 Refund Policy

  • APC payments are non-refundable once the manuscript has entered the production stage (copyediting, layout, and proofreading).

  • Refunds may be considered only in exceptional circumstances and are subject to editorial board approval.

7. Disclaimer

Jurnal Pengabdian dan Inovasi reserves the right to revise its fee structure at any time. Any changes to author fees will be announced officially on the journal website and communicated to authors prior to submission.
